We released our first kit, the Cryptid Construction Kit, in 2024. Our kits are made to work together: you can combine them to create even more creatures!

Nick Jehlen, Founder
Nick is a designer and writer based in New York City. He has been designing analog games and kits for over 20 years. Nick is also the founder of Common Practice and Dissent Pins.

Madeline Elwell, Customer Service
Madeline Elwell manages customer service for Magnomatic. Madeline is a graduate of Smith College with a background in Medical Sociology and Africana Studies and has worked with Nick at Dissent Pins and Common Practice for almost a decade. Madeline is a Philadelphia native and spends their time crafting, reading, and calling out bad design.

Aly Bellissimo, Illustrator
Aly is an award-winning illustrator and product designer born and raised on Long Island. She's worked as a designer and packaging illustrator for major toy companies and has been able to see her drawings on products at several big retailers. Aly has also illustrated merchandise and coloring books for some of the world's most in-demand drag queens! Aly loves illustrating (and playing with) Magnomatic kits, and she's always looking for new! You can find more of Aly's work here.
